On Thursday 18th January. Seven KC1 pupils attended a step into sports leadership camp @ Bromsgrove Ryland Centre. The aims of the leadership camp were to develop leadership skills and mix with different students from different schools, some of which had special educational needs. KC1 students were involved in different sessions throughout the day and looked into the various skills and qualities that a leader needs to have. Students got to meet Paralympic athlete Mel Clarke and got to wear and hold her Paralympic silver medal and Olympic torch. All pupils completed the camp and have gained valuable experience, and developed their skills further in leadership.

Well done to Isabelle Gibbons, Alex Adams, Maisie Taylor, Kennah Harris, Cameron Bushell Burrows, Sam Shaverin and Jack Reynolds who were recognised by Mel Clarke for being an ‘outstanding leader.’
