On Friday 16th March students from year 8 and 9 rounded off a fantastic Science week with a visit to the National Space Centre in Leicester. Students had the opportunity to learn the ordeals that astronauts go through in space flight in the UKs largest planetarium, look inside Thor-Able and Blue Streak – real rockets used in space exploration, complete tasks on “Tranquillity Base” – a mock lunar base designed to show how it could be possible to live in space, and get hands on experience of hundreds of other interactive exhibits to learn about all aspects of the universe we live in.
