SIMS Parent App
This time last year, we launched the SIMS Learning Gateway (SLG) to enable you to access up to date information regarding your son/daughter. Having reviewed SLG and taken on board your feedback, we have taken the decision to move from SLG to the SIMS Parent App platform. The new app is a more user friendly and can be viewed on any device. The main benefits this new platform provides are:
- The ability to log in securely using an existing Microsoft, Google, Facebook or Twitter account. The school no longer needs to issue or manage a user account to be able to use the Parent App.
- The convenience of an app as well as be able to receive automatic notifications.
- A more simple, logical website to navigate that scales correctly on mobile devices and tablets.
The SIMS Parent App still allows you access to the following key information about your son/daughter:
- timetable
- attendance
- achievement points
- behaviour points
- progress reports
- full reports
- Data collection – update contact information and medical details.
The app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store - please search for: SIMS Parent App
For parent/carers who do not want to use the app, you will also be able to access the service online via www.sims-parent.co.uk

How to register
You should have received a registration email from Capita SIMS with a King Charles I VC Secondary - SIMS Online Service Invite which is valid for 90 days. If you have not received this email, or it has expired, please contact the school.
Click the link to join, and sign in with one of the following types of account: Microsoft/Office 365, Twitter, Facebook or Google. Please note that this is a personal account that you have already created, and not one that is issued by the school. If you do not have an account with any of the above providers, please click here to create a Google Account or click here to create a Microsoft Account using your existing email address.
No data of your child is sent to or accessible to the companies of any of the above third party services. The provider you choose simply securely identifies you as a valid parent/guardian to the SIMS Parent App Service.
You will then be asked a security question to complete the registration process. Once answered correctly, your SIMS Parent App account is set up.
Please sign in again using the account you registered with to access your childs' data.
